Natalia Soldati is a Handler within the Consortium. Prior to her joining the Consortium, she was a criminal convicted of theft, fraud, looting, and trafficking across international lines. At one point, she was also on Interpol's Most Wanted in several countries specifically for trafficking in illicit goods and counterfeiting as well as illicit trafficking in cultural heritage and works of art.
Early Life
Soldati is the Italian word for 'Soldiers' and that is precisely what Natalia's father, a Tenente Colonnello in the Esercito Italiano, wanted in the family. Unfortunately, that's not what he received. Natalia was the eldest of two children, both females that had no interest in pursuing a life in the armed forces. Whereas her sister, Lucia, had a penchant for following the rules and falling in line when needed, Natalia did not. In fact, Natalia was known for the exact opposite. The less her father was around, the more trouble she would manage to get into.
This only escalated as she got older. What may have started as petty theft to get her father's attention became habit forming. She would steal just to steal, just to see if she could get away with it. Her grades began to slip and she was threatened with expulsion numerous times. Her father, a respected member of the community, would always manage to get her out of trouble. The final straw occurred on her 18th birthday when she'd created fake IDs for her and several classmates to go out drinking. After a long night of hard liquor and dancing, there was a drunk driving car accident. Natalia was the only one that survived, all others in her vehicle as well as those in the other car were all killed. Among them, Fabrizio Pasquale, the 17-year old nephew of Italian Senator Francesco Pasquale, the father of Aurelia Pasquale.
