Early Life

Gavin Prescott's earliest memory was training; training to improve, to succeed, to win. The son of a former athlete turned lawyer mother and a gambling prone father, the question of whether Gavin's ambition to compete came from paternal pressure or actual interest was never clear. However, actual talent was evident. By the time he was a teenager, he went from a local to national star, one of the youngest athletes to take home a gold medal in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. By 2022, he was envisioned to win multiple golds - and potentially break records - in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

But with fame comes a price, as does talent. Or the perception that it did not. With accusations from unknown sources of being a 'genetic cheater,' merely copying athletic talent rather than actually working for it, Gavin was placed under review by the International Olympic Committee. In a highly publicized investigation, complete with the reveal of hidden doping practices of his coach, the IOC disqualified Gavin from further participation and stripped him of his gold medal.

With his prior awards and accomplishments called into question, sponsorships lost, public humiliation, as well as facing potential criminal drug charges, Gavin disappeared on his return flight back home. Another young legacy undone and broken.
