Purgatory is the classified name of an off-world prison established by the Consortium of Earth-2619 to house former Agents of the Order for crimes resulting in excommunication but not execution. Although former Agents may be tapped by the Consortium to perform tasks as part of an agreement to obtain more privileges in Purgatory, no prisoner in Purgatory may ever become a sanctioned Agent again.
Severity of Crime
Depending on the nature of the crime, some of the former Agents have more latitude than others in Purgatory. Only the most dangerous of offenders charged with the most serious of crimes are confined or kept apart from the general population within Purgatory. That does not mean, however, that prisoners are given complete freedom by any means.
Former Agents Currently in Purgatory
The following table provides information on the current Agents in Purgatory.
Generation | Rank | Number | Name | Known Crimes |
---|---|---|---|---|
4th | Theta | 8 | Mitchell Burke | Murder (serial killing), misappropriation of resources |
7th | Pi | 16 | Juliet Masters | Murder (cannibalism), excessive brutality, psychological instability |
8th | Iota | 9 | Gethsemane Kasher | Espionage, sedition, treason |
10th | Omicron | 15 | Paris McKay | Fraud, money laundering, gambling |
