The Host is the name of the armed guard of the Roman Catholic Empire within Earth-2620. It bears a striking resemblance to the Order of Earth-2619. The Host is composed of 27 individuals, both male and female, enhanced through implantation of Relics. Individuals within the Host are placed in a hierarchy of 9 Choirs and are generically referred to as Servants or Saints. Choirs are given guidance by Cardinals that report directly to the Pontifex.
The Choirs
Following the angelic hierarchy accepted by the Empire, there are 9 Choirs with 3 Servants. The listing of individual Choirs has been provided below:
- Seraphim
- Cherubim
- Ophanim (Thrones)
- Dominions (Lordships)
- Virtues (Strongholds)
- Powers (Authorities)
- Principalities (Rulers)
- Archangels
- Angels
All Servants within a Choir are generally considered to be of equal power. However, the Choirs themselves establish their own hierarchy with Seraphim being the most powerful and Angels being the least powerful of the Host.

Servants are capable of pushing normal abilities beyond their limits, but risk destroying a Relic implanted in their body. If a Relic is burned out, it permanently lowers that Servant's power level. However, if a Relic is burned out in the process, whatever feat the Servant was attempting to complete is guaranteed to be successful.
Baseline Host abilities have been described above, however all Servants have focused their Faith (the raw power granted by the Relics) within the following categories:
- Flight
- Weapon manifest
- Armor manifest
- Physical traits
- Unique ability
