Galen Lord is an Initiate at the upstate New York training facility and current candidate for the Order.

Early Life

As with almost all in the Lord bloodline, Galen Lord was born to be a member of the Order. The scion of a family noted for producing near precise matches to the genetic compatibility test, Galen was no different. Already the son of a younger paramour turned second wife, with the Lord patriarch already looking for the future third, and raised predominantly in boarding schools, the family was inclined towards gaining a return on their investment.

The psychological evaluations, like genetic compatibility, were passed with similar ease thanks to years of grooming and coaching. Any concerns were well addressed and buried long before, the Lord prestige and wealth expecting no other outcome. With a Geolink recording of goodbye, Galen's guardianship was given to the Consortium the day before his sixteenth birthday.

As an Initiate

Galen, like his family's predecessors, took naturally to the initial training. His scores in academia to strategy to marksmanship were all excellent, a result of a life groomed for Order progeny. As he progressed and matured to a proper age for combat training and received the first injection of the Compound, the infamous brutality of the Lord lineage came to notice. This was highlighted in Galen's first selection for a melee and distance weapon, with each lacking any degree of finesse in exchange for intimidation and raw power. Psychologists and Instructors will continue to monitor this closely for any signs of bent up, destructive aggression (see Mercer Lord file).

A jack-of-all-trades archetype with a shrouded sense of rebellion, Galen pushes himself to meet the embedded family legacy expectations while careful to tailor any brazen displays of ambition. As an Order progeny he is particularly interested in - and attuned to - the Agent and Handler selection rounds, measuring and comparing himself to the nominations.

Powers and Skills

Galen is an Initiate of the Order and has only received the first injection of Compound 36, requiring two additional doses to make the enhancements permanent. However, with the first dosage he has the normal complement of abilities granted by the compound:

Like all members of the Order, he can further activate the inert Compound 36 in his body to augment the aforementioned abilities even further. There is great risk involved in doing so, as pushing beyond an acceptable limit aggravates any side-effects of the Compound, increases the possibility of addiction, and the risk of becoming an Aberration.

Galen's uncanny genetic compatibility and his family known aptitude for a specialized Compound 36 capability is being closely evaluated and monitored despite only have his first injection.

• Galen is the nephew of Mercer Lord, cousin of Darien Lord, and distant cousin to Cameron Lord.
