Another Life

To most, the Saint family was your typical middle class, second-generation Irish-American family. Born and raised in a small New English town in Connecticut, Dominic grew up living an otherwise common childhood; loving parents of modest income, the older brother he always admired, public school which he did well in. Being the younger brother of the highschool's star athlete had its perks and pitfalls as well, but Dominic was always the quiet one, being envious yet supportive. When Garrett was recruited and offered a full-ride to their new, elite Academy by the prestigious genetic corporation Devlinari, it seemed luck had truly blessed the Saint family.

While never living up to his brother's physical records, limelight, and social popularity, Dominic passed through his remaining adolescent years with little attention. Upon graduation, he moved to New York City and attended NYU for a time. It was here in the city that he began work at one of the city's up and coming clubs - a club and arcade that boosted technology beyond what the public had ever seen before. CyberDelia's was far more than a club, however, it was a guise for the recruitment and employment of some of the most technological savvy and innovative youth. Funded through hidden patrons, the club's purpose was to produce, develop, and test various technologies along with engaging in industrial espionage throughout the city, the information gathered and sold to other companies for a profit through the hidden patrons. Recruited for his computer savvy and being quick on his feet, Dominic was the loyal, useful, and young 'agent' that CyberDelia's wanted. Excited by the clandestine lifestyle and well-accepted within the CyberDelia group, Dominic felt he had found a second home.

Despite being a formable group of young hackers and street wise kids, the greedy patrons behind CyberDelia's pushed their hand upon trying to infiltrate Devlinari - a growing conglomerate with its own agents and operatives. In a swift counter-attack, Devlinari succeeded in not only destroying CyberDelia's hidden patrons and the club itself, but also in acquiring all of its assets.. including personnel. Those who cooperated became shocktroopers, those who didn't disappeared, fresh meat for research in Devlinari's neurological center. It was in this transition that Dominic ran into his brother for the first time in years - the brother he no longer knew, his brother the Progeny agent. Watching his brother help destroy the place and people that had become his second home, Dominic sought to intervene but did nothing, quietly becoming a Devlinari shocktrooper and serving the company which now employed both brothers.

As time went by, Dominic proved himself to be a useful soldier but his advancement within the Devlinari ranks was limited to his status of not being a meta. It was in this time, however, that he came to further a relationship with a young woman by the name of Ashleigh Donahue, someone he had originally met upon first arriving in NYC. Marriage was even a possibility.. a thought.. until fate seem to have whisked her away. Gone, much like CyberDelia's and most everyone with it. Dominic's world was further shattered upon the news that his brother, his hidden hero, had killed himself. Like a virus, this news carried through to the family, killing Dominic's mother soon after and driving his father to alcoholism and eventually death as well.

With practically everything and everyone he loved gone or destroyed, Dominic disappeared into the undercurrent of society, losing himself in the bleakness of drugs. Most likely his life would have ended there, had fate not again intervened. Unbeknownst to him Dominic was actually a latent meta, a fact that was discovered and experimented upon covertly by Devlinari during his employ with them. Due to his mangled DNA, his meta ability surfaced in a painful and near crippling experience, eventually leaving Dominic in a coma state.

A few months later Dominic awoke in a Lithuanian hospital, a note and plane ticket to Washington D.C. beside his bed. A note that merely asked for his help in an oncoming crisis.. as well as a promise for the chance to right the wrongs sustained upon his family in the past.

Having no family, no friends, and no allegiances left, Dominic set off as instructed, in search of the next adventure to give his otherwise fractured life meaning.

Reborn

Whoever left that note and plane ticket was uncertain, as was the fate of the original Dominic.

Physical Appearance

As a result of his late surfacing meta ability and physiological experimentation, Dominic's physical features have been permanently altered. The skin and muscle across his torso, back, and down his right arm is translucent, leaving his skeleton and internal organs (ex. lungs, heart) visible to the naked eye. Veins have been observed to flicker into appearance during moments of excursion but otherwise fade. Physically, nothing is changed. The skin still feels and reacts as normal, though without visual effect. Blood is visual when the skin is pieced and bruising causes a faint dark patch across the translucent area. Skin on the other areas of the body remains unaffected; further testing along with time is required to determine whether this is progressive or merely a singular occurrence due to meta gene activation and/or genetic tampering.

For sake of avoiding alarm and unwanted attention, Dominic often keeps these areas of his body covered.

Core Ability: Energy Control

• Evaluation note: The specific type of energy has yet to be fully assessed. While met with sharp skepticism, some scientists speculate that it might be redacted which would be a rarity among cataloged energy metahumans (4 out of redacted).

Observed feats

- Physical Augmentation. Subject has shown the ability to enhance his own physical abilities, with varying degrees of adjustment to his physique.
- Healing. Depending on the level of concentration and energy expelled, wounds heal at an accelerate rate.

Unknowns

- Absorption? As with previous cataloged energy metahumans, absorption of that energy type is common. However, considering the yet unclassified designation of this energy and our inability to replicate or gauge it we are unable to account for this feat.
- Sensory Enhancements? Energy Metahumans often are able to visualize or otherwise sense their energies and origins of it. As with absorption, the unclassified designation of this energy makes a determination of this feat unknown.
